Who best represents the year 2024? Time will announce the person of the year on Thursday but already announced its shortlist for the honor.

Among those vying for the title for 2024 include:

  • Kamala Harris
  • Kate Middleton
  • Elon Musk
  • Yulia Navalanya
  • Benjamin Netanyahu
  • Jerome Powell
  • Joe Rogan
  • Claudia Sheinbaum
  • Donald Trump
  • Mark Zuckerberg

Politico speculated that Time will select President-elect Donald Trump as the Person of the Year and that he will ring the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange to commemorate the honor.

Last year, Taylor Swift was named the 2023 Time Person of the Year and to announce her selection, Time CEO Jessica Sibley rang the NYSE opening bell, according to Politico.

If this holds true, this will be Trump’s second time gracing the cover for the annual issue. He was selected as the 2016 Person of the Year after winning his first election.

The official announcement will be made on Thursday morning.

Time has already picked its 2024 Athlete of the Year — WNBA’s Caitlin Clark.
